About this course

Your child will learn the multiplication tables with structured drills (guided videos) and with interactive exercises. The child will also learn to use multiplication in word problems, study patterns, practice mental math, and see many connections with other concepts. Structured drill differs from random drill substantially in the fact that we actually use the structure of each table in the drill, which promotes conceptual understanding. Note: This course does not teach the multiplication concept itself.

Lesson 4: Comparing the tables of 2 & 4, plus word problems
The products (answers) in the table of 4 are just doubles of the ones in the table of 2! You will also write number sentences for word problems, connecting multiplication, addition, and subtraction to real-life situations.

Learn and practice the multiplication table of 10, starting with the skip-counting pattern by 10. We also practice it "backwards"!

Maria Miller is a math teacher, author of Math Mammoth books, and a homeschooling mom. She grew up in Finland and earned her master's degree in mathematics there in 1997. Miller started writing math books in 2002, prompted by her experiences in tutoring homeschooled children.
